Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya", together with the organization "Electriciens sans frontières" ("Electricians without borders"), with the financial support of the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement, AFD), is launching the PHENIX project in Ukraine to strengthen the sustainability of Ukraine’s energy future.
The project will last for three years, focusing on healthcare, education, agriculture, and the food industry, which are planned to be improved by providing emission-free energy supply (the so-called "decarbonization") with further scaling up during the post-war reconstruction period.
It is expected that within three years, 10 facilities in certain industries in several regions in western Ukraine will be equipped with hybrid solar power plants. At the same time, the capacity of local communities will be built, which will become more energy efficient and expand opportunities for further development using environmentally friendly and energy-saving technologies.
Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, which has been one of the main operational partners of "Electriciens sans frontières" in Ukraine since the beginning of the war, is strengthening the institutional component of the project by involving the NGO "Transcarpathian Local Development Organization" (Association Transcarpatienne de Développement Local) in its implementation. The organization has been a partner of the Committee for about 20 years and has been developing a comprehensive vision for the development of Nyzhnye Selyshche village in Zakarpattia.
