Our project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" continues, an important part of which is helping healthcare facilities that provide medical services to little patients. This time, a shipment of medical equipment was donated to the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 6" of the Dnipro City Council.
The specialized medical cargo included a syringe pump for the resuscitation and intensive care unit, an electrocardiograph, a patient cable and power supply for the electrocardiograph, and a set of pediatric ECG electrodes.
Dnipro City Children’s Hospital No. 6 is a multidisciplinary facility that provides medical care to children with infectious diseases, chronic illnesses, life-threatening conditions, and rehabilitation services. During 2024, the hospital treated approximately 13,400 children, including more than 2,000 children temporarily displaced from the combat zone or occupied territories. The equipment received will enable the hospital to quickly and accurately collect and calculate ECG data, promptly diagnose patients, and correctly prescribe treatment for young patients.
As a reminder, a year ago, the Committee purchased similar equipment for the Uzhgorod City Children's Hospital at the request of doctors.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
