Another major humanitarian mission completed in Kherson region

06/05/2025

In the Kherson region, Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" continued its activities within the framework of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support".

During March and April 2025, food kits and baby food were provided to over 1,000 local families in several communities in the Kherson region. CAMZ purchased and delivered a shipment of special baby food for 40 infants from the Bilozerka community. Another 1,000 families with children from Antonivka received food kits.

The de-occupied part of the Kherson region is constantly under enemy fire and at the same time remains a place of evacuation for residents of frontline and temporarily occupied settlements. Kherson residents are often left without electricity and are forced to hide in shelters almost every day. At the same time, tens of thousands of people, including children, currently live in the region and require comprehensive humanitarian assistance. Previously, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya provided heaters and autonomous lighting devices to the affected civilians. Now, thanks to the support of partners, the food issue has been partially resolved.

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
