On Wednesday, February 26, an important cargo for the Ukrainian military arrived in Mykolaiv – a powerful backhoe loader that has covered almost 2000 kilometers to reach its destination.

The humanitarian cargo for Ukraine was provided by the partners of the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" from the Association SAFE (France). This was preceded by a request from a military unit serving in the south. There is an urgent need for engineering equipment to ensure fortification works in the places of their missions. To meet the needs of the Ukrainian Defenders, the French SAFE team conducted information and crowdfunding campaigns, raised funds, found the necessary vehicle and organized logistics to Ukraine.

This is our second excavator, but the first one to be sent to the combat zone, as it is needed there the most. The special vehicle has already been met in Mykolaiv, and its further route is not disclosed for security reasons.

Also today, the first ambulance in 2025 arrived in Uzhhorod from France, and we are preparing it for further transfer to combat medics who save lives of military and civilians in frontline settlements.

As a reminder, the Committee sent its first excavator in March 2023 to Chernihiv, where the organization helped local volunteers repair housing damaged by enemy shelling.
